Masayer is the 2 braids that go around the ears, it’s an old look that’s so unique and special to us Sudani women because that’s how our grandmothers used to look. That’s where we drew the inspiration of the brand. it’s a very Sudani name to represent me first then represent the brand, Masayer is a blend of the old and the new in a new style, looks, and furniture to represent our culture in a modern way to us firstly then the world.
Masayer is one way to bridge the gab between my generation and our beautiful culture for we have been drifting away from it.
Masayer is a representation and reinvention of our identity in this world through some of our “Marakeeb, small furniture, paintings, Jalaleeb & Tiyab” to suit us the young generations of Sudan to present and represent ourselves in the best way possible “looks-wise” if I may.
About Me
Tibyan Labib
My name is Tibyan Labib. I’m a mother of 5 lovely children 3 girls and 2 boys. I’m a daughter of a strong woman who raised me and my siblings to be the best versions of ourselves. Without her support I wouldn’t be where I am today as a person and I’m trying my best to pass this to my childre.
I’ve looked into the state of my generation and their connection to our culture and it wasn’t very strong to some extent so I’ve tried to take part of what I saw and added a touch of a woman to I adore from “marakeeb, small furniture, paintings, jalaleeb & tiyab” and try to reinvent this identity to suit us the young generations of Sudan to present and represent ourselves in the best way possible “looks-wise” if I may.
The name of my brand is “masayer” and it’s a very sudani name to represent me first and try to make it into an international brand to see not only sudani people wear our identity and culture in Sudan and abroad but foreigners too, you see we have a very unique styles which I want to get to the world.
